New Service Dog Team: Tom & Jagger
Breaking news from Patricia: Here is a picture of Jagger with his new best friend, artist Tom Hollenstein. The lab in the blue cape is Hiley, 14 and retiring as soon as she thinks Jagger is ready. Tom, an artist who travels a lot, was injured in a bike accident many years ago and is quadriplegic.
Jagger knows a lot of tasks and will team with Tom to have a great, productive life.
It took a lot of time and a lot of people to get Jagger to this point. His final training is being handled by a professional who trains animals for the movies and TV. Her background is jaw-dropping. Thank you Maddy Klein Thomas. We’ll keep you posted on his progress.
Jagger is talented, he picks up a dropped credit card without so much as a tooth mark. He opens and closes doors. He is learning to pick up paint brushes and dozens of necessary tasks. But his biggest talent is in the love he gives to Tom. These two were meant to be paired.
